Following on from her earlier research projects, Professor Sally Mackey has been awarded nearly £200,000 of a major new grant with Bexley Council for: Performing Places Bexley.
From December 2017 to January 2018 London’s arebyte gallery presented fronterlebnis, an exhibition by Central’s Research Fellow Dr Dani Ploeger.

Central is pleased to announce that, together with Associate Artist Fevered Sleep, it has been shortlisted for a Times Higher Education Award (THE) for Research Project of the Year: Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
Central's associate artist, London-based arts company Fevered Sleep – described by the Guardian as ‘boundary-smashing’ - and their Co-Artistic Director, Central's Professor of Interdisciplinary Performance David Harradine, bring a new version of their highly acclaimed dance piece, ‘Men & Girls Dance’ to Tate Britain this summer.
In front of a small invited audience, Professor Sally Mackey scattered paper memories of Studios 1 and 2 onto the structural foundations of the new North Block building, creating an indelible memory of place and ensuring that Central’s future will continue to grow on the strong foundations of its past.
Congratulations to Dr Sylvan Baker – Central’s Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow for Drama, Applied Theatre and Education – who has recently been awarded a 2017 Centre for Public Engagement Award for Influence at the Queen Mary University of London Engagement and Enterprise Awards.
Central is delighted to announce that It has been shortlisted for two 2017 Guardian University Awards. The shortlisted categories of International Projects and Social and Community Impact recognise work undertaken by Dr Selina Busby and Professor David Harradine with Fevered Sleep respectively.
