Central is excited to have specially re-purposed its introductory course for online provision whilst maintaining the fundamental qualities of the process.

In this two hour taster workshop you will be working in a virtual group on Zoom with one of our experienced online acting tutors. You'll be introduced to the fundamentals of acting - general training (work on the self) and preparing for a performance (working on a role). Working through exercises and activities the tutor will introduce you to the key tenets of the acting craft and help you to connect to and unlock your creativity.

Anyone that wants to try out acting
Anyone that is thinking of booking an online Short Course at Central
Anyone that already has experience but would like an evening of fun!

Useful Information

This workshop is for students aged 18 and over
Our taster workshops are capped at a maximum of 20 people
Please dress in clothes that are comfortable to move in
All workshops take place online using Zoom. A Zoom link will be sent to you the day before the workshop date with further instructions.
You will need to have access to a quiet room or space with no other people present and room to move around to take part in this workshop.
For the best online experience, we recommend using a laptop or desktop computer rather than a phone. We also suggest you test your audio, visual and internet connection through Zoom, before booking the course.
Central reserves the right to cancel this workshop within 7 days of it beginning if we don't meet the minimum number of sign-ups required.
