Evening and Online Short Course Terms and Conditions

Our Evening Courses and Online Courses are extremely popular, so we recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment.

Central’s Evening Courses and Online Courses can be taken independently or consecutively to form a unified programme of study and many students take a number of Evening Courses and/or Online Courses to build a wide range of skills. We work hard to support students’ learning needs, for example, group sizes are generally small so that tutors are able to nurture and develop creativity.

Our Evening Courses and Online Courses are extremely popular, so we recommend that you book early to avoid disappointment. All classes are open access and mixed ability.

Courses will only commence if we receive the minimum number of applicants required, which varies from course to course. In the event that the minimum number of students required is not acheived by one week before the course begins we will unfortunately need to cancel the course. You are advised not to incur any additional costs related to the course (e.g. flight and/or accomodation costs or technology costs ) until after this date. If in doubt, please check with the Short Courses office.

How To Apply

From June 2019, all evening courses places must be booked online via Eventbrite. Please follow the 'Book Now' link on the individual course pages.

Term 2 - 13th January 2020

Term 3 - Online from 12th May 2020

Terms and Conditions (from June 2019)

Refunds

We can offer you a full refund if you decide to withdraw from a course up to 7 days before it starts. You can process the refund by logging back into your Eventbrite account.

Unfortunately, within 7 days of the course commencing we are unable to offer any refunds and the fees become fully non-refundable. This covers all possible reasons that you may seek a refund including due to ill health of yourself of a family member, issues with technology (for online courses), transport disruption etc. Central recommendeds that all students insure themselves to cover the loss of fees in the event of needing to seek a refund after the refund policy expires.

Deferrals

We no longer offer deferrals on our Evening Courses or Online Courses.

Transfers

You are able to transfer your place on the course to another person up until the day before a course begins. To do this, please get in touch with the Short Courses team who will let you know the process. It's not possible to transfer your place to another course, or to transfer you place to another student once the course has begun.

Concessionary Rates

Central offers a concessionary rate for the majority of evening courses as indicated on the website and you may be eligible if you can submit proof with your application form of being an EU citizen in receipt of benefits for unemployment and/or disability in the UK. Please send our Short Courses team evidence of your benefits claim and they will send you a unique discount code to enter into Eventbrite as part of the booking process.
