Evening Courses

Join us at Central's Swiss Cottage campus for practical and fun evening courses led by industry professionals.

These onsite evening courses are ideal if you would like to meet like-minded people, learn a new skill, revisit an old hobby, or build on your current acting and performance experience. 

Delivered in Central's rehearsal studios, each course is 8 weeks long and repeated on a termly basis. 

Who are the courses for?

  • Anyone over 18, regardless of prior experience or training.
  • People who are new to acting, voice, directing or writing.
  • Actors and practitioners who want to nurture their skills.
  • People who are looking to follow a career in the creative industries or those that are just looking for an interesting and fun hobby. 

How will the courses benefit you?

Useful Information

Onsite Courses

  • Onsite short courses are currently on hold due to the Coronavirus situation. We hope to return to onsite short courses in 2021!
  • In the meantime, we're running lots of different short courses online. Find out more about online courses here. 
  • Most in-person evening courses last eight weeks, with sixteen sessions in total on Monday and Wednesday evenings, 7-9:30pm.
  • A handful of popular courses also run on Tuesday and Thursday nights.
  • Our writing, musical theatre, and improvisation courses are one night a week.
  • Courses are open access – no audition required.
  • Places are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
  • Classes are held in rehearsal rooms at Central's main campus in Swiss Cottage, London.
  • Class sizes are small – maximum 20 for Acting: An Introduction and 16 for most other courses.
