Britain is a world by itself, and we will nothing pay
For wearing our own noses.

Shakespeare’s national identity myth has challenged audiences since it was first performed around 1611. Written as the first political attempt to create the United Kingdom foundered on the rocks of internecine violence, nationalism and xenophobia, we open Central’s newest theatre with a very contemporary staging from the team behind Central’s productions of The Rover, The Devils, Mary Stuart and The Suicide.

Wednesday 10 – Saturday 13 April, 7.00pm
Thursday 11 & Saturday 13 April, 2.00pm

Courtyard Theatre, North Block
