Playing with Intimacy and Intensity: a Symposium
The evolving program of this Playing with Intimacy and Intensity Seminar promises to bring together a fascinating cross-section of artists and scholars (and artist-scholars) in a diverse collection of presentations, workshops and performances. With performances by renowned companies ZU-UK and Lundahl and Seital, a ‘tag-team’ keynote by Gareth White and Bruce Barton, and a multifaceted selection of international presentations, the event will approach its stated theme from myriad angles and orientations.
The symposium is free of charge, but the number of places available is limited. Therefore, we invite those interested in attending to send a short (200 word) statement about your engagement with the subject matter. Artists, performers, critics, producers, presenters, and academics are all welcome. We can fund travel expenses for a small number of attendees who are not supported by an academic post or other salaried position. Please state if you wish to be considered for this support.
All applications to attend should be submitted to piinetwork@cssd.ac.uk.
Visit the Playing with Intimacy and Intensity website for more information.
