I trained as a lighting designer at Central graduating in 2006. Since then, as well as working as a lighting designer, I have practiced as a production manager, an analogue photographer, festival curator / director, and a building and event manager. I have worked extensively for Goat and Monkey, Shunt, Blind Summit and London Bubble, as Lighting Designer, Production Manager, and Outreach Project Leader. I was Building and Events Manager at The Blackheath Conservatoire of Music and Arts from 2014, and spent much of 2016 co-directing the successful first year of the Peckham Festival, which had over 15,000 visitors.
Along the way, I have also taught and lead projects at Trinity Laban, and the National Youth Theatre, and both in the UK and in Saudi Arabia. I was a visiting lecturer at Central since 2008, leading several student site specific and immersive theatre. Projects and co-running the contextual studies element of the curriculum with Dr Jessica Hartley. I joined the permanent teaching team of the Theatre Practice degree in 2016.
I am currently studying for a PG Certificate in Teaching and Learning in higher Education and am in Research and Development with my theatre company This Is Not A Test, for a new production based on a radical reworking of Chekhov’s Three Sisters.
