This major scholarship has been made possible by the Michael Grandage Company. Recipients will be incoming students on both undergraduate and postgraduate courses who demonstrate the potential for exceptional talent and also financial need.
Eligibility: Home, EU and Overseas
Value / Number of awards: 1 x £10,000 (£5,000 as tuition fee waiver and £5,000 direct to student for living costs)
Application details: All eligible applicants will be automatically considered for an award based on merit. You will be notified by email in May 2020 if you have been nominated to go forward to the second stage of the Michael Grandage Scholarship application. Those applicants will be requested to submit evidence of their financial situation.
About the donor: Michael Grandage CBE graduated from Central’s Stage course in 1984 and has been President of Central since 2010. Michael is now Artistic Director of the Michael Grandage Company, and previously was Artistic Director of the Donmar Warehouse (2002-12) and Artistic Director of the Sheffield Theatres (2000-05). He is the recipient of Tony, Drama Desk, Olivier, Evening Standard, Critics’ Circle and South Bank Awards.
